Marina Rules

Welcome to the marina. We hope you will agree that these rules are simple, logical, easy to observe and are based on common sense. If we have overlooked any important rules, please feel free to ask. These Rules are subject to change without notice.
  • 1. SUB-LEASING - Sub-leasing, or renting of any dock is not permitted. Guests of dockers are welcome when the boat owner is present. This rule is for the purpose of protecting the property and privacy of all boat owners.
  • 2. YOUNG PEOPLE'S BOATS - Non-registered inflatables or any small floatable devices utilized by small children (or adults) will not be allowed in the marina. There have been many near accidents involving small boats in and around the other larger boats within marinas. We have, therefore, taken this action to protect your children, and boaters, from this potential tragedy.
  • 3. SWIMMING IN THE MARINA - No swimming in the marina will be allowed. It is very dangerous and against Ohio law. Common sense should indicate why this is not allowed.
  • 4. FISH CLEANING - Fish cleaning will not be allowed on any of the docks, in the parking lots, in the picnic areas, or anywhere on the marina property.
  • 5. RESTROOMS - These are for your convenience. Please make every effort to keep them clean. Please contact marina manager if restrooms need attention.
  • 6. DOG AND CATS - Dogs, cats, and any other exotic animals are allowed on marina property, only if on a leash. We are insisting upon your cooperation with this. Please respect our request with this rule.
  • 7. TRASH - Trash is expensive, unsightly, and difficult to control. There are plenty of trash containers around the marina. Please dispose of your litter properly. Please use trash bags whenever possible.
  • 8. CHILDREN - Children are welcome at the marina, but they must be carefully supervised by their parents or guardians. Any damage to marina property will be billed to the parents or guardian. Children under 18 years of age will not be permitted to occupy the parents' or guardians' boat in the absence of parent or guardian.
  • 9. BIKES, MOPEDS,AND MOTORCYCLES - No riding on the docks or off marina driveways. All must observe the 10 mps speed limit.
  • 10. BOAT TRAILER PARKING, SUMMER STORAGE - All trailers must be kept in the designated parking area. Ask the marina manager for the designated area. These trailers will be stored at the owner's risk. All must have a summer storage sticker on them.
  • 11. CARPET ON DOCKS - Dockers are encouraged to use dock bumpers to protect their boat. Carpeting, tires, or any other fixture that must be fastened to the dock is not allowed. No tires will be allowed to be attached to the docks. Caution should always be used whenever the docks or piers are wet.
  • 12. CARS - There is plenty of parking. We ask that you park close together and in line with other cars. Cars with boat trailers attached must park in designated areas. See the marina manager for designated area.
  • 13. BOAT MOORING AND HANDLING - Any damage to bump boards or floating docks resulting from careless boat mooring or improper handling will be repaired at the boat owner's expense.
  • 14. BOAT WAKE - No boat wake anywhere in the marina. Wake is the wave action created by your boat moving through the water. This wake can cause damage to other boats, shore erosion and heated tempers. You are responsible for your boat's wake.
  • 15. PORTABLE TOILETS - All portable toilets will be dumped at designated dumping stations or taken to pump out facility next to gasoline pumps. Anyone caught dumping portable toilets in the restroom/shower building will be considered grounds for immediate termination of your dockage agreement.

  • 19. BOARDING STEPS - No boarding steps may be used on finger docks without the consent of the dock partner. No boarding steps or anything else may be bolted or screwed through the dock deck surface.
  • 20. DOCK ASSIGNMENT - The marina shall retain the right to designate dock spaces. Every effort shall be made to assign the boat owner the dock space of their choice; however, the rights of the boat owners and the management's business judgement shall also be relevant factors in the assignment of dock spaces.
  • 21. EMERGENCIES - In an emergency situation, the marina shall be permitted to move the boat owner's unattended boat to a safer location if possible. However, the marina shall not be required to provide the service. In the event such service is provided, the boat owner will hold the marina safe and harmless from any and all liability, injury, loss or damage caused by or resulting to the boat owner's boat due to an emergency situation.
