Bob Schraedly, Owner and General Manager
With nearly forty years experience in boating, Bob brings seasoned competence to the boating business. After operating the Clearfork Marina southwest of Mansfield for some twenty-five years, he bought the Charles Mill Marina in 1985 and then the Pleasant Hill Marina in 2004. Working not only as owner, but as the hands-on general manager, he is fully committed to the healthy functioning of the marina. On any day of the week you can find him scouting out possible problems and discovering solutions, ensuring the smooth operation of every aspect of the business. Bob’s commitment to dependable and fun boating keeps him engaged with the larger boating community too, as he actively contributes to the annual North Central Ohio Safe Boating & Fishing Festival held at Pleasant Hill in early June. If you ask Bob about the highlight of his boating year at the marina, he’ll tell you hands down that it’s the fireworks show in July. Not to be missed.
Andrew Schraedly, Sales Manager and Marketing Director
As the son of owner Bob Schraedly, Andrew has been with Charles Mill Marina his entire life. While finishing high school in 2005 and then completing a business degree in 2009 at the Ohio State University, Andrew worked on staff at the marina. Two years ago Andrew was promoted to handle all sales for the marina, whether it be boats, parts, accessories, or lake events. When not working in the business, he’s still at the lake, enjoying a wide variety of boating-related activities, including skiing, wakeboarding, and night cruising. Even his morning commute finds him on a pontoon boat ride to the office.
Karie, Pleasant Hill Marina Manager
Karie has been with the Charles Mill and Pleasant Hill Marinas for 8 years and works with Bob to manage the daily activities of the marina. Her interests don’t run far from her job either, as her love of tubing and lake cruising attest. Like Bob, she is committed to safe boating, and enjoys the Safe Boating Festival. Her favorite events at the lake are Christmas in July, and the annual lake concert.
Harry, Service Manager
Harry has been with Charles Mill Marina for an impressive 35 years, specializing in boat and motor repair, rigging boats, and all service related issues. His hobbies include houseboating, fishing, and golf, and his favorite events at Charles Mill Marina are the many cookouts and the 4th of July fireworks display.
Bryan, Service Technician
Bryan has been in the service department with Charles Mill Marina for 10 years and specializes in dock repair, dock installation, and boat rigging. He enjoys all things water-related, including water sports, fishing and sailing. His favorite activities and events at Charles Mill Marina include the 4th of July fireworks, Movies on the Mill, and any Ohio State game party.
Nick, Parts and Sales
Another long-time employee, Nick has been with the Charles Mill Marina for 21 years, specializing in parts and sales. Visitors should feel free to find him if they have any boating-related questions at all.
