BOAT OF THE MONTH: PLEASURE ISLE 4014

May 22, 2010

What's the best thing about owning a houseboat, you ask? Some will tell you it's the freedom to leave your dock, but not your comfort, behind you. Others say that houseboats are great for hanging out when the weather turns cold but the parties stay hot. Devoted owners insist it's the only way to truly kick back, relax and enjoy the sun setting over the water.

Whatever your reason, there is no doubt that house boating is one many things that make Charles Mill and Pleasant Hill lakes great. That's why this past winter we challenged local builder and Charles Mill house boater Scott Floyd to construct his dream houseboat. Scott and his crew spent the better part of six months building the boat from the ground up, combining their extensive knowledge of home building with that of boat building to create one of the finest houseboats we've ever laid eyes on.

Measuring over 42” feet stem-to-stern and weighing in at an estimated 8000 lbs, the 2010 Pleasure Isle 4014 Houseboat is truly in a class of it's own. A high lofted cabin ceiling, professionally

finished cabinetry, stand alone shower, queen sized bed and full sized appliances are just the beginnings of the first-class amenities.

Rigged with a brand new 2010 Yamaha 25 HP 4-stroke high-thrust outboard motor, this boat has the reliability and power to keep running through anything.
